Tayla began her fitness and nutrition journey in her teenage years, obsessed with what made her feel good, from feel-good energy foods to endorphins when she went running. Tayla then went on to Study her LLB at the University of Pretoria and completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2015. Tayla, however, had a passion for food and fitness which needed to be explored and so, she resigned from her Law Firm in 2019 and started creating her own nutrition brand, whilst completing her UK Diploma in Sports Nutrition.
When Tayla first started TaylaMade Meals, she had a simple concept in mind: to make nutritious, healthy, and delicious meals that are easily accessed by all. A rather simple concept, borne out of her own life experiences, having seen firsthand the importance of eating well to live a happier, more fulfilling life.
Many of us lead very fast-paced lifestyles and work long days, making healthy meals that much harder to prepare after a long day. At the end of the day, our bodies, mental health, and fitness take a backseat – often followed by obesity, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety disorders, heart attacks, and so on… Tayla realises that we all have a lot on our plates these days and that it becomes difficult to prioritize everything. Tayla wanted to develop a brand that enables our health to once again be at the forefront, without the stress, time, and energy required for it.
